Violet L. Antonson

Violet L. Antonson, born in South Dakota on August 7th, 1910, passed away in Irivine California on February 10th, 2000.

Her parents were Anton Antonson and Anna Olson. Anton was born in Norway and Anna was born in Fairfax, MN.

Education: After graduating from High School she attended Lancaster Business College where she received a degree in Legal Administration.

Career: Violet began here career in 1946 as a secretary specializing in real estate, and later pursued the legal profession as a secretary. She retired after 20 years as a legal secretary with the Los Angeles Criminal Court. She served as President of the Legal Secretaries Union.

Following retirement Violet traveled with her sister in North America, and later cared for her sister Dean Beaudry until her death in 1990.

Eventually, fulfilling a retirement dream, Violet moved to Regents Point, Irvine CA in 1994. She volunteered, attended many social events, and made lots of new friends. She also had family members visiting on many occasions, and loved to treat them for dinner at lovely Regents Port Dining.

Volunteer work: Violet devoted 20 years of her time to the Los Angeles Childrens Hospital.

Violet loved cats, especially her beloved kitty Judy, and was a member of the Los Angeles Cat Club.

Violet was preceeded in death by Mildred Sparks, sister; Dean Beaudry, sister; Ingoff Antonson, brother; Elmer Antonson, brother; Arthur Antonson; and Vernon Sparks, nephew.

She will always be remembered for being a loving and caring person with a lust for life, and a strong Christian faith. Although Violet had no children she loved her many nieces and nephews as her own children.

She is survived by Junith Platt, niece; Lenora Galvin, niece; Ronald Sparks, nephew; Robert Antonson, nephew; Caroline Karlovich, niece; Stephen Sparks, great nephew; Dan Sparks, great nephew; Laura Burkett, great niece; Judy, her beloved cat; and many other great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: Hollywood Funeral Home and Chapel on Monday, February 21st, 2000 at 1:30 PM. Entombment: Hollywood Forever Cemetery immeadiately after the service with a reception in the Hollywood Forever Chapel.
